OBITUARY “Dying Of Everything” album review

Obituary – Dying Of Everything Release Date: January 13th 2023

These guys really seem never to get old! Their first album „SLOWLY WE ROT“ released back in 1989 has been a milestone back in the past and still has a deep impact in creating Metal music. And they still know how to smash riffs!
Florida‘s most important Death Metal band OBITUARY released their brand new manifest „DYING OF EVERYTHING“ on Friday, 13th 2023. Dropping an album on such a date means: you wether know it‘s a goatdamn brain banger or you wanna scare the f*** outta your fans. So, what about this new record? Is it a true failure or a „YOU HAVE TO LISTEN, YOU DAMN F*CKER! NOW!“?

Well, I already had some deep conversations with some metalhead people out there and some of them might say: „it‘s nothing new, sounds like every song they did before. No technical development to find, using the same range of vocal skills since decades. I‘m quite disappointed and my money‘s better spent into crack and bitches“.
DAMN IDIOT!
Know what? This infallible true and original sound is exactly what I wanted! Obituary highly influenced the Death Metal scene since late 80‘s with their groovy riffs and John Tardy‘s croaking vocals. We all love at least one song from Obituary, don‘t tell me there‘s one metalhead out there who won‘t! What‘s wrong about staying true to your own sound? Nothing at all, gatekeeper! For some metalheads, „familiar“ isn‘t good enough. But in this case, there‘s no better option to find!
DYING OF EVERYTHING convinces with melodic riffs, speeding up drums, looong brutal growls. Just everything we fell in love with while listening to OBITUARY back in the past many years ago. You exactly know what to get from these guys. Every single song is pushing you forward. One second after another you just wanna sink into these tunes and feel all the igniting power flowing through your vains.
But there’s still one thing to be super sad about: my sound system just doesn‘t get any louder volume as I wished for…

This new banger from Death Metal legends Obituary keeps spinning here almost daily since release date. I‘m feeling good today and wanna start my day with a hot shower while banging my head? Great, let‘s listen to this album. I‘m quite exhausted and just wanna cry tomorrow: okay, put this whole album on PLAY and pitching the shit outta your mind. No matter what mood you‘re into, DYING OF EVERYTHING is an high-quality standart OBITUARY album. If it doesn‘t move your single toe, you‘re just probably not worth listening to any Metal at all!

„Okay okay, but which song is your favorite? What should I pick to get all the vibes?“
– Well, it‘s quite hard to choose only one song of this album. If I could f*** music, then I would do it with this whole banger record! „The Wrong Time“ already might be my No.1 song for this whole year 2023 – and we just have January! It‘s a request to all Metal musicians out there: please release an

album in 2023 with an high potential just like OBITUARY‘s DYING OF EVERYTHING is. You would make some fans happy and even gain some new ones.
