The 5th studio album from California hard rockers EDGE OF PARADISE. Mixing Hard rock, with symphonic metal and some power metal. New album titled HOLOGRAM. The band states on their website.

Edge of Paradise formed in 2011 by guitarist Dave Bates and Vocalist/keys Margarita Monet. Band rounded out on guitar with David Ruiz, bass Kenny Lockwood and drummer Jamie Moreno. Hailing from Los Angeles, California. Hologram continues to show the growth in the band with their song writing and arrangements. More and more heavier moments creeping into their songs with more flashier solos from Dave Bates.
Margarita Monet’s vocals are always a stand out and gets more dynamic with each new release. The Russian born Margarita always sings with such passion from her soaring high vocals to her almost whispering vocals. Especially noted on the track DARK a slow and brooding track where her incredible voice stands out. Her vocals goes from her high pitched highs to slow and sensual lows with some of their darkest lyrics.
“Together we are mysteries in the dark
Swimming through sadness inside our hearts
Don’t fear it
I’m gonna be there with you
I want to feel it with you”
Other stand out tracks are the rockers like title track HOLOGRAM, THIS IS PERSONAL, UNBEATABLE and the catchy and very memorable BASILISK which will leave you with the chorus stuck in your head for days. One of my favourite songs I have heard this year.
They have compiled a catchy, memorable and melodic showcase of all the talents this band has to offer. By far my favourite album from Edge of Paradise. Fans of the band will not be disappointed.
