ANVIL

Impact is Imminent

Canada’s Anvil has released their 19th Studio Album – “Impact is Imminent” on March 20, 2022. Nineteen albums of consistent metal music… consistently good! That is the point. And “Impact is Imminent” is no exception. In fact, this album just might be one of their best albums they have ever recorded!

Anvil is:

Steve “Lips” Kudlow: Lead Vocals and All Guitars
Robb Reiner: Drums
Christ Robertson: Bass and Backing Vocals

“Impact is Imminent offers 14 total Tracks, and clocks in at a little over 50 minutes. There’s enough variety on this album with 14 songs, yet not too drawn out in total running time. A good mix.

What jumps out about this album is the level of musicianship displayed by each band member. They all put in excellent performances. Lips’ guitar work is some of the best of his career, Lead Solo after Lead Solo are just rippin’. And what can you say about Robb Reiner, one of the best drummers in the business. His Grooves, Fills, Double Bass Drum parts are excellent. Christ Robertson fits the band real well and adds to the overall sound with his backing vocals.

This is an excellent Metal album. From Rocking Tracks like “Fire Rain,”  “Bad Side of Town,” and “Explosive Energy,” to the two most unique songs on the album, (which have a Swing/Big Band feel) “Teabag” and “Gomez,” this album itself is… and here is that word again, consistent throughout. And… consistently excellent!
